Our GB Company, the 1 st Leytonstone, will hold its Centenary Annual Parents & Awards Evening on Wednesday, 7 th December, at 7:00 pm , and Mini Christmas Bazaar from 6.00 – 8.00pm .
Please come and support our officers and girls on this special evening, when the girls receive the badges for which they have been working hard throughout this year. The “Mini Christmas Bazaar” will help to raise funds; this is the only fund-raising event our GB company has held during this special year, so please do your best to support it.
The celebrations of our GB Company, the 1st Leytonstone, are almost upon us.
On Saturday, 21 st May, there will be a Reunion in the afternoon for past members who are able to come. The officers have already received some lovely replies with a few surprises! In the evening will be the Centenary Display, starting at 7.00 pm, while on Sunday, 22nd May, there will be a birthday parade at which the District will join in here at LUFC. The service then will be led by Jane Ledingham, who is a minister now but was involved with the GB at its headquarters. We are all asked to support the Company at the display and at the parade service.
The following Spring Bank Holiday weekend, 27th-30th May, the girls will be away at camp at Westcliff-on-Sea. The Officers would very much value your prayers at this busy time for them, and for the continuing work with girls here in Leytonstone, as much needed today as it was in 1905.
