House Group

 

As its name suggests, the House Group meets in people’s homes on alternate Thursday evenings at 7.45pm.  There is a time of prayer followed by a Bible study lead by one of the members.  Friends old and new are welcome to come along, and if transport is a problem, phone Norman G. For more details of times and venues or require transport email, call, or pop into the church.

There will be a prayer meeting on 16 th March, at 9 St Mary’s Road, Leyton, and on 30 th March the Group will consider the second session of the Lent Course, “Where is God – when we face suffering?”, which Norman G will lead. Lent Course 2006

After much thought and reflection the Church Council decided that we should not run a series of Lent Study Groups as we have done for the past two years, but encourage participation in the following three different ways of getting into Scripture:

1) Through the Musical “Apostle”. This is a hands-on study of Paul’s story through fellowship, fun, music and drama

(see below!).

2) Through the Ecumenical Lent Study Groups. These meet each week during Lent at the various churches around Leytonstone. This will create opportunities to meet other Christians, and make new friends. We will host one of these studies; information will be available shortly.

3) Through our own House Group, which will be holding a Lent Study Course. See Norman for further details.
