This is our second fund-rising Jumble Sale for the year, the proceeds going towards our “wider church” giving, not our own finances. We need lots of help, as always, on both Friday, 15th from 10.00 am until around 4.00 pm. and on Saturday from 1.00 pm onwards. On Friday, you don’t have to stay all the time; if you can spend only an hour, that’s fine, or if you can spend longer, that’s great too. On this day, when we prepare the goods for sale, our workforce tends to be made up of older members of the congregation. They are beginning to find the work tiring even if it’s a good social time, but they recognise that younger members who may be occupied during the day would find it difficult to come and prepare “jumble” on a Friday evening. Nonetheless, if you can give some time then, your help would be greatly appreciated.
On Saturday, it really is “all hands on deck”, not only to sell the mounds of goods that our customers know will be there but to clear away afterwards, a tiring but very necessary task. So this is a plea to everyone - WE NEED YOU! There’s a job for all: please offer your services to this worthy cause and have a few laughs in the process. But no gifts of jumble until the week before the sale, please!
