Creative Workshop Weekend -

This is where I want to be thoroughly creative, dynamic, engaging . . .but I’m not, it’s too hot! So, where was I? Ah yes:

 

Creative – Arts, Textiles, Mime, Dance, World Music, Rap . . .

Workshop – You can choose which workshops to attend

Weekend – Synchronise your diaries! Sat/Sun 15th and 16th October.

 

If you recall, Felden Lodge, where we held the Church Retreat last year, was already booked up, so we decided to host an in-house retreat instead. The fact that it is closer to get to for most people - it will be held at LUFC itself - means there are no excuses for not turning up! It is envisaged that Saturday will be in the form of workshops that will be run by members of the church (it’s okay - they have already volunteered!) and external contacts. The aims of the weekend include nurturing relationships within the church and having fun! The Sunday fellowship will be an opportunity for people to share what they have learned if they want to (along similar lines to the Thankoffering Sunday worship).

 

In September, we will issue lists for people to sign up for the different workshops. LUFC will meet the cost of the weekend as part of our commitment to develop and grow as a church, and it would be wonderful to see as many people as possible joining in. It will be a great opportunity to meet with one another and to learn new skills, while having fun along the way.

 

All we would ask is that those who attend on the Saturday bring a dish of some kind for a lunch-time buffet. The evening meal is catered for. The day will run from 10am-5pm with a chance to relax over dinner after that.
